Technical Officer / IT Officer
Needed I am currently recruiting for a Marine ETO / IT Officer to join a 170′ Marshall Islands flagged research vessel that has just finished a major interior refit and will be splitting time with yacht-like charters and accommodating scientific researchers.
The function of the ST role is to maintain, Integrate and operate the science, networking, and satellite communications equipment onboard, and to act as the liaison to science parties.
3 month rotation,
6-8 months at sea per year.
Requirements: –
STCW
95 Basic Training
STCW Security Awareness
ENG 1 or similar medical
B1B2 for non-Americans
Formal education in marine science
– Minimum of 2 years of seaward experience in a marine science or IT role
Preferred:
Seafarer record book from Marshall Islands
